I can’t remember an age where I wasn’t glued to a TV screen watching the Green Bay Packers dominate our division or out in the neighborhood with all the guys with a football in my hand. Growing up, being a girl and playing football were not two things that went together; at least not in an organized league. When I found out about the Tidal Waves in 2019 and the opportunity to finally play real tackle football, my answer was an immediate ‘YES’! I continue to play football in hopes that someday, young girls and women around the world will be able to play this sport at the professional level and no one will question if football is a ‘girls’ sport. I am a therapist by trade and am currently working with Transitions Counseling Services. When I am not at work or on the football field, you can find me playing games with friends, snuggled up with my puppy, Ollie, or on the sidelines coaching the Grand Valley Christian Patriots High School football team.
