The Grand Rapids Tidal Waves have partnered with Only Human and the city of Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department to host a youth football skills clinic on September 18, 2021 from 10am – 1pm. This clinic is designed and intended for all ages and ability levels. Participants will learn not only learn the basics of football but also skills that will help them be successful at any level. The event is free to attend but participants are encouraged to make a donation of $5-$10 dollars or to donate sports equipment and/or apparel. Donations will benefit the YMCA SpartanNash and Athlete Ally. Participants can sign up by visiting the Facebook event page or register through the City of Kentwood.

The Tidal Waves are West Michigan’s only women’s full tackle football team competing in the national Women’s Football Alliance League. Open tryouts are held each year in October.  Only Human is a community organization established in 2016 fueled by kindness and social entrepreneurship. They believe in the power of humans coming together to help move us all forward in the ways that truly matter.
