The Waves are kicking off its fifth season with the official release of their 2022 season schedule. The season begins with more than 35 women hitting the field on April 9 with an away game against the Columbus (Indiana) Vanguards. The Waves home opener will take place on April 23 at 5:00 p.m. at Northview High School (the location of all home games) with a matchup against the Midwest Mountain Lions from Kenosha, Wisconsin.
“We are excited for the upcoming season and showing our fans all of the hard work we put in during the off season,” said Pamela Blazo, President of the Waves. “We have an amazing rookie class joining our seasoned veterans this season.” The Waves have a new head coach this season and are taking the field under first year Head Coach Stacey Davis.
There are three home games and three away games on tap during the regular season. The three home games are scheduled for April 23, May 7, and May 14. All games will have a 5:00 p.m. kickoff. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and those under 10 years old are free.
The Tidal Waves were established in 2018 and are a Division 3 member of the national Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) league consisting of over 65 teams. This year’s National Championship weekend will be held July 8-10 at the Hall of Fame Village in the Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
